1998 BMW 3 Series 328i

The car has averaged right under 7900 miles per year, that's very low considering most drivers put 15,000 miles per year on a vehicle. Within the last couple days I had the car inspected by a ASE certified repair facility. He inspected it and told me its a very solid car. He put it up on a lift and inspected the engine/transmission and he also took it for a test drive. The engine and transmission did not have any mechanical issues and operate as they should. He told me that the car appears to have been very well cared for mechanically. He replaced the oil & filter, power driver seat was not working so he replaced the power seat motor, the seat is now working just like it should. There was a small crack on the radiator, and the only way to repair that the right way is to replace the whole thing. So he replaced the radiator and also replaced the thermostat during the process. He also replaced the serpentine belt tensioner. The car needs no maintenance other then a oil/filter change in 3000 miles, it does not leak any fluids and runs great. You are welcome to call the mechanic that did the inspection. If you would like to have the car inspected by your own mechanic before you purchase, you are welcome to do that as well. Mechanically I usually have my vehicles for a week or two before I list them on the internet, this gives me enough time to personally drive them for a few days and then get them inspected. I put about 100 miles on this car and it drives great. It really has that "BMW ride" everyone always refers to. It feels very solid on the highway with no abnormal steering wheel vibrations, in town driving is great as well. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It starts right up every morning and idles very smooth when in neutral. The car accelerates without any hesitation or jerking and the transmission shifts smooth through all gears with no issues. The clutch feels very good with no slippage or clutch chatter. The streering feels great with no abnormal play and so does the suspension. There are no issues with the car at all and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Florida and back. The 2.8L straight 6 engine is a very well knows motor for BMW. They have had the same engine around for over 15 years. They even use the same engine block for the new 2011 6-cyl BMW's, the new ones have a slightly bigger displacement (3.0L). I have seen BMW's with over 200,000 still in excellent running condition, this one has right around 95,000 miles so it has a lot of life left. Normally when someone buy's a vehicle like this, they take very good care of it. These are the type of vehicles that's parked in the garage, and always serviced at the dealer on time. This one lives up to that example. Electrical The AC and heat works great, power top works great, power seats work, power windows work, remote door locks works and so does the radio. Exterior The car was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The Cosmos Black metallic color is very nice. The window sticker shows that this color was a premium option, the charge for the color was $495 when the vehicle was new. I see a lot of BMW's but not very many in Cosmos Black metallic.
