1999 Chevrolet Blazer

It has averaged right under 6000 miles per year, that's really good considering most average drivers put 12000 to 15000 miles per year on a vehicle. Within the last couple miles I had the Blazer inspected by a ASE certified repair facility. The mechanic I take my vehicles to has been working on cars for 15 years working for a big new car dealership here in town, he is very good and all my vehicles go to him for the inspection and reconditioning. He has his own ASE certified repair facility and does anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines. He inspected it and told me its a very solid vehicle. He looked it over and took it for a test drive, it did not need brakes and the engine, transmission and suspension did not have any issues. He checked the fluid level and condition of the transfer case, front/rear differential they were all full and clean. I asked him to do a tune up on it and he replaced the engine oil and filter, transmission oil and filter and he also replaced all 6 sparkplugs. I didnt have any records on the transmission oil and sparkplugs behing replaced, GM recommends that to be replaced around 60.000 miles so that's why I asked him to do it. There are no mechanical issues with the Blazer so I am including a nation wide warranty through a warranty company at no additional cost ($0 deductible). Mechanically Before I put my vehicles up for sale I usually drive them for a few days, this gives me a great idea on how they run and drive. I drove this Blazer for about 5 days and put approx 70 miles on it. I did about 50 miles worth of highway driving and 20 miles city driving. It drives great on the highway and is smooth in town with no isses. Cruise set at 65 mph on the highway and it drives straight with no abnormal road noise or steering wheel vibration. I also took it up to 70-75 mph to see if there was any steering wheel vibrations and there was none. It has a excellent set of tires and they are very quiet at highway speeds. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It starts right up and idles very smooth when in park. It accelerates without any hesitation or jerking and the transmission shifts smooth through all gears with no issues. The 4x4 also works great and it engages with no delay while driving. There are no mechanical issues with the Blazer and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Florida and back. If you search the internet or any other website that sells vehicles, you will see that these 4.3L V6 engines are good for along time. A lot of these for sale have north of 150.000 miles and are still in great running condition, I have personally seen them with a little over 200.000 miles still running great. This one has has right around 65,000 miles so it still has alot of life left. Electrical The A/C works great, power seat works, cruise works just like it should, all power windows work, power door locks work and so does the radio. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
