The car has averaged right under 2,300 miles per year, not bad considering most average drivers put 15,000 miles per year on a vehicle. General Motors made a total of 29,009 Camaros in 2001 ( Coupe, T-Top & Convertible ). Out of the 29,009 cars made, 1380 were Sunset Orange Metallic ( 71U option code ) and only 170 of those were Sunset Orange Coupe automatic SS cars. Even a smaller number out of the 170 had the T-Top ( CC1 option code ) which this car has. The car was bought new at our local Chevrolet dealership and only driven on nice sunny days, when not in use it was kept in the garage and the car is 100% stock with no modifications to the engine or transmission. The car has a genuine oem SLP Air box with the SLP mass air flow sensor & a genuine oem SLP Exhaust, see photos for the SLP stamp on the exhaust. The paint looks excellent with a nice deep gloss to it, there are no clear coat issues anywhere on the car. The frame and undercarriage looks as good as the rest of the car with no corrosion or rust underneath ( see pictures ). The interior is also very clean with no stains on the carpet, the leather seats are in great shape and there are no unusual odors in the vehicle ( non smoker ). Mechanically the car is in excellent shape shape. It starts right up and idles smooth, accelerates without any hesitation and the transmission shifts smooth through all the gears with no issues. It drives nice at highway speeds ( 65-70 mph ) with no unusual noises or vibrations and it does great in town. Just a well kept example and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a 1000 mile round trip. Within the last 10 miles I had it fully inspected and serviced by a GM mechanic. He put it up on the lift and inspected the bottom of engine and transmission. He also checked the oil level and condition of the transmission & rear differential, both were full and clean. He replace the engine oil & filter and everything else was up to date. The A/C is ice cold, heat works great, power windows work, CD player works, power seat works, power door locks work and so does the cruise control. All electrical options work just like they should. There are no mechanical issues with the vehicle and it comes with a nation-wide warranty through a warranty company at no additional cost ( $0 deductible ). You are also welcome to have the vehicle inspected by your own mechanic as well.
