This is a very clean 2001 Jeep Cherokee 60th Anniversary Edition 4x4 with 57,100 miles. The Jeep has averaged right around 5,700 miles per year, thats good considering most average drivers put 15,000-18,000 miles per year on a vehicle. Mechanically the Jeep runs and drives perfect. It starts right up and idles smooth, accelerates without any hesitation and the engine does not make any abnormal noises during acceleration or at idle ( no ticking or knocking ). The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears with no issues and the steering feels great with no unusual vibrations at highway speeds ( 65-70 mph ). Oil pressure gauge is right within the normal range and the engine temp gauge is within the normal operating temperature. The 4x4 works just like it should and the suspension feels great with no unusual noises when going over bumps on the road. This is a well kept Cherokee and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a 1000 mile round trip. Within the last 10 miles I had it fully inspected and serviced by a Chrysler certified mechanic. He inspected it and told me its a very solid vehicle. He put it up on the lift and inspected the bottom of engine and transmission. He also checked the oil level and condition of the transfer case, front & rear differential and they were all full and clean. He replace the engine oil & filter, replaced the serpentine belt and replaced the A/C compressor, all other maintenance was up to date. The Jeep also comes with a nationwide warranty at no cost. If you do a internet search on these Cherokees, you will see that these 4.0L inline 6 engines are pretty much bulletproof and have a huge customer following. A lot of these have north of 180.000 miles and are still in great running condition, I have personally seen them in the 200.000 miles range still running great. This one has has right around 57,000 miles so it still has a lot of life left. 2001 was the last year for the Cherokee, and most of them currently for sale have well over 100,000 miles. So im glad to have this low mileage example for your consideration. The Jeep was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. It was more then likely garage kept because the paint looks excellent with a nice deep gloss. It has some very tiny rock chips on the lower doors, nothing that stands out bad at all. Interior is very clean with no unusual odors or stains on seats & carpet. Everything works like it should, A/C, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, CD player, Cruise.
