The Jeep has averaged right under 2,000 miles per year, thats low considering most average drivers put 15,000 miles per year on a vehicle. Mechanically the Jeep is very solid. It starts right up and idles smooth, accelerates without any hesitation and the transmission shifts smooth through all gears. The Jeep drives nice at highway speeds ( 65-70 mph ) with no unusual noises or vibrations and it does great in town. The 4x4 works just like it should and the suspension does not make any abnormal noises when going over bumps on the road. This a well kept Jeep and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a 1000 mile round trip. Within the last 10 miles I had the Jeep fully serviced and inspected by a Chrysler mechanic. He inspected it and told me its a very solid vehicle. He put it up on the lift and inspected the bottom of engine and transmission. He also checked the oil level and condition of the transmission, transfer case, front & rear differential and they were all full and clean. He replace the engine oil & filter, turned the brake rotors and all other maintenance was up to date and the Jeep comes with a nationwide warranty at no cost. If you do a internet search on these Cherokees, you will see that these 4.0L inline 6 engines are pretty much bulletproof and have a huge customer following. A lot of these have north of 180.000 miles and are still in great running condition, I have personally seen them in the 200.000 miles range still running great. This one has has 21,000 original miles and a lot of life left. The exterior of the Jeep is in great shape. The paint is very nice with a deep gloss to it, and the undercarriage is very clean with no rust. The interior is also clean with no stains on carpet or unusual wear on the seats, there are no odors in the vehicle either (non smoker). It is a very special Jeep Cherokee partly due to the very low miles, and being the last year of the Cherokee with the 60th Anniversary package. This Cherokee is as close to a new one as I have seen, the exterior & interior is in excellent shape, been kept in the garage and seen very little winter driving.
