2002 Chevrolet S-10

Thank you for looking at my Chevy S-10 ZR2. This very nice and reliable 2002 Chevy S-10 Ex cab 3rd door ZR2 4x4 with 52,138 miles. The truck has averaged less then 6500 miles per year, thats pretty low considering most drivers put 15000 miles per year on a vehicle. Within the last couple miles I had the truck inspected by a ASE certified repair facility. The mechanic I take my vehicles to has been working on vehicles for 15 years working for a big new car dealership here in town, he is very good and all my vehicles go to him for the inspection and reconditioning. He has his own ASE certified repair facility and does anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines. He inspected it and told me its a very solid truck. He looked it over and took it for a test drive, it did not need brakes and the engine and transmission did not have any mechanical issues. He checked the fluid level and condition on the front and rear differential, transfer case, transmission and they were all full and clean. He replaced the engine oil and filter. There are absolutely no mechanical issues with the truck so I am including a warranty at no additional cost. This is a $0 deductible warranty good at any repair facility in the U.S. Mechanically I personally drive all the vehicles I sell for a few days. I drove this one for about a week and put around 150 miles on and it. It drives great on the highway and does great in town as well. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It starts right up every morning and idles very smooth when in park. The engine accelerates without any hesitation or jerking. The transmission shifts smooth through all gears with no issues, it doesn't "clunk" or shift in to gear hard. Highway passing gear is also great with no abnormal "clunk" or hesitation. The 4x4 push button works great with no delayed 4wd engagment. There are no issues with the truck at all and I wouldn't hesitate to take it to Florida and back. If you look around on ebay or any other car site that sells vehicles, you will see that these 4.3L Vortec V6 engines are good for a long time. A lot of these have north of 150.000 miles and are still in great running condition, I have personally seen them in the 200.000 miles range still running great. This one has has right around 52,000 miles so it still has alot of life left. I always buy S10 and Sonoma trucks with the 4.3L Vortec V6 because I have never had any problems with them. I have had over 10 of these and they just keep going.They are proven to last and I would rather sell a vehicle with a solid drivetrain reputation then one with a problematic one. The 4.3L Vortec V6 in the truck is a well known engine in the GM line-up, they have had the engine around for close to 20 years. They put this engine in Astro vans, Safari vans, S-10 trucks, Sonoma trucks, Silverado 1/2 ton work trucks, Sierra 1/2 ton work trucks and some of their other small size GM vehicles. GM even puts the same exact engine in some of the 2010 Chevy and GMC light duty work truck with the V6 option. So needless to say, these are great motors and should last you a long time with regular maintenance. The truck was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The over all paint condition is in great shape with no clear coat or rust issues. The interior is very clean. The driver seat does not have any abnormal wear on, no stains and no spots, neither does the passenger seat. Its a non smoker vehicle with no burn holes anywhere. It has some nice plastic floormats that look like they have been in the truck for a long time because the carpet looks very clean. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to call or email.
