2002 Chevrolet S-10

This is a very clean 2002 Chevy S-10 LS Extended cab with 51,700 miles. The truck has averaged right around 5700 miles per year, that's really low considering most average drivers put 15000 miles per year on a vehicle. I took this truck in on trade about a week ago. The owner was a local retiree and took great care of the vehicle. I had a low mileage Buick that he really wanted so he traded the truck for our Buick. He took great care of the truck and it definitely shows. It was more then likely garage kept because the paint looks excellent with a nice deep gloss. The truck has no rust on the lower doors, rocker panels or on the frame. Mechanically the truck is in great shape. It starts right up and idles very smooth when in park. It accelerates without any hesitation and the engine does not make any abnormal noises during acceleration or at idle ( no ticking or knocking ). The transmission shifts very smooth through all the gears with no issues and highway passing gear is smooth with no abnormal "jerking". The steering feels good with no unusual play at highway speeds (65-70 mph) and the suspension feels smooth with no noises when going over bumps on the road. The AC and heat works great, cruise works just like it should and so does the radio. All electrical options work just like they should. This is a well cared for truck and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a 1000 mile round trip. Within the last 10 miles i had the truck fully inspected and serviced. The mechanic replace the engine oil & filter and all other maintenance was up to date. It also comes with a nationwide warranty at no cost. If you do a internet search on these trucks, you will see that these 4.3L Vortec V6 engines are good for a long time. A lot of these have north of 150.000 miles and are still in great running condition, I have personally seen them in the 200.000 miles range still running great.
