The car has averaged right around 6400 miles per year, that's really good considering most average drivers put 15,000-18,000 miles per year on a vehicle. A customer traded this Alero in a couple weeks ago. I had a very low mileage SUV that he wanted, so he drove from OH ( 170 miles one way ) to trade the Alero in for the SUV. The customer that traded the Alero had owned it since 2007, he purchased it from his father and the father had owned it since new. So the vehicle is a 2 owner within the same family. Mechanically the car runs and drives great. The car starts right up and idles very smooth when in park. It accelerates without any hesitation and the engine does not make any unusual noises during acceleration or at idle ( no ticking or knocking ). Transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and highway passing gear is smooth with no unusual "jerking". The steering feels good with no vibrations on the highway ( 65-70 mph ) and the suspension feels good with no noises when going over bumps on the road. This is a well cared for vehicle and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a 1000 mile round trip. Within the last 10 miles I had the car fully serviced by a GM mechanic, he replaced the intake gasket, changed the oil, replaced front brakes and all other maintenance was up to date. There are no mechanical issues with the vehicle so I am including a nation wide warranty at no cost ( $0 deductible ). You are also welcome to have the vehicle inspected by your own mechanic as well. The AC and heat works great, power sunroof works, cruise works just like it should, power windows work, power mirrors works, power door locks work and so does the radio. All electrical options work just like they should. The car was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. It was more then likely garage kept because the paint looks excellent with a nice deep gloss. The car has no rust on the lower doors, rocker panels or underneath. The interior is very clean with no unusual stains on the carpet or seats, there are no odors in the car either ( non smoker ). If you have been looking for a great daily driver thats great on gas (29 mpg), this would be a great choice for you.
