2004 Volkswagen New Beetle

The car has averaged right around 1,800 miles per year, that's real low considering most average drivers put 15,000 miles per year on a vehicle. The car was owned by a retired couple and they took excellent care of it. They used it as a "weekend" vehicle and only drove it on nice sunny days. It was garage kept when not driven and the paint is in excellent shape with a very deep glossy shine. It does not have any clear coat issues anywhere and the undercarriage is clean with no unusual corrosion. The Convertible top is also in great shape with no rips, tears or fading. The interior is nice with no unusual wear on the front or rear leather seats, carpet is clean and there are no odors in the vehicle ( non smoker ). I drove the car and put close to 200 miles on it and mechanically it's in excellent shape. It starts right up and idles smooth, accelerates without any hesitation and the transmission shifts smooth through all gears with no issues. At highway speeds ( 65-70 mph ) the car drives down the highway straight with no unusual noises or vibrations and it drives great around town as well. It's just a well kept car and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it Florida and back. Within the last 10 miles we had it fully inspected and serviced by a ASE certified repair facility. The mechanic put the vehicle up on the lift and inspected the bottom of engine and transmission. He also checked the oil level and condition of the transmission and it was full and clean. He replace the engine oil & filter, everything else was up to date and the vehicle comes with a $0 deductible nation-wide warranty at no additional cost. Being a GLS package it has some nice option possible and here are a few: Heated leather seats, 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, Automatic transmission, Power Convertible top, ABS brakes, Traction control, Power windows, Power locks, Power mirrors, Cruise control, Key-less entry, Premium factory Monsoon sound system and more. It also has the convertible top cover still in the factory plastic wrap ( never used ). It's hard to find vehicles that was maintained well and has low miles. Most of these VW's have been owned by 3 or 4 different owners, have well over 100,000 miles and normally no service records, so we are glad to have this low mileage example for your consideration. If you do a Internet search on these cars you will find some great reviews. I have seen a lot of them with over 150,000 miles still in great running condition, this one has right around 22,000 miles and will last a long time with regular oil changes. If you have been looking for a reliable daily driver that's great on gas, this would be a great choice for you for the next 100,000 miles ( or more ).
